Las Vegas Premises Liability & Negligent Security Lawyer

Businesses and venues owe their guests reasonable safety. When inadequate security or unsafe conditions lead to harm, we hold them accountable.

Businesses that invite the public in, casinos, hotels, resorts, bars, nightclubs, shopping centers, and apartment complexes, owe their guests a duty under Nevada law to keep the property reasonably safe. When a property ignores a known hazard or a foreseeable security risk and someone gets hurt, that can be the basis for a premises-liability or negligent-security claim.

Negligent-security cases come down to a hard question: should the property have seen the danger coming? A history of similar incidents, broken or missing cameras, too few guards, propped-open doors, and dark walkways can all matter. Casinos and large venues fight these claims hard, often with in-house lawyers and experienced insurers on the other side.

Reggie served as in-house counsel for MGM Resorts, so he knows how these properties investigate, document, and contest a guest’s claim. He uses that to build cases that hold up: nailing down the hazard, what the property knew about it, and the harm it caused.

Nevada follows a modified comparative-negligence rule, so a property’s insurer will often argue the guest was partly to blame to chip away at the claim. We prepare for that from day one, with evidence instead of assumptions.

Cases are handled on a contingency-fee basis, so there's no fee unless we recover. You work directly with the attorney from the first call.

What we handle

Casino-floor falls and injuries
Hotel room and resort hazards

Wet floors and missing warning signs
Defective stairs, mats, ramps, walkways, and flooring transitions
Poor or inadequate lighting
Inadequate or absent security

Evidence That Can Disappear Quickly

Evidence can disappear quickly after an injury at a casino, hotel, apartment complex, nightclub, bar, or other property. Surveillance video may be overwritten, witnesses may become harder to locate, and dangerous conditions may be repaired or changed.

Important evidence may include incident reports, maintenance logs, cleaning records, security reports, prior complaints, employee witness information, photos, and video footage. Early investigation can make a major difference in how a premises liability or negligent security claim is evaluated.
